Meeting LocationSNS meetings in 2018 were held in the social room of Queen Anne Manor (basement), 100 Crockett Street, (Queen Anne Hill), Seattle, WA at 7:15 PM on the 3rd Thursday of most months. As of 2018, there are no November-December meetings scheduled, and there is an off-site banquet each February. |
No club meetings in November or December, beginning in 2018. The October 18, 2018 program was given by Cathy Colcord-Moen, who spoke about her collection of coin jewelry. Washington State (Puyallup) Fair, August 31-September 23, 2018, except closed on Tuesdays. See the PNNA website for more information about the Hobby Hall coin display. The PNNA sponsors the annual coin exhibit in the Hobby Hall, with assistance from several local coin clubs including the SNS. No volunteer is knowledgeable about all aspects of numismatics — if your question wasn't answered or if you were unable to attend the Fair, please e-mail your question to info@pnna.org, and it will be directed to a local expert. The PNNA's Hobby Hall coordinator is Rick Schulz. The September 20, 2018 program has not been reported. The August 16, 2018 program was given by Marc Duvall.   The July 19, 2018 monthly Table Talk topic was "The Sun." Members were requested to show and tell something numismatically interesting, related to Ol’e Sol. The June 21, 2018 program was "Washington State Tax Tokens: History and Collecting" by Rick Schulz. The Table Topics theme was "tokens, any type, shape or usage." The May 17, 2018 Table Topics theme was "Africa." The April 19, 2018 Table Topics theme was the "Seattle Worlds Fair," since the 21st of April marked 56 years since the Fair first opened in 1962. The March 15, 2018 club meeting program was "U.S. Trade Tokens" by Eric Holcomb. This meeting was moved to the Tukwila Community Center due to the PNNA convention, March 16-18, 2018. February 15, 2018 SNS Annual Club Banquet and White Elephant Auction, at the Mandarin Buffet & Grill. Thanks to all those who attended. The January 18, 2018 club meeting program was to have been announced at the meeting. Normally, the annual display runoff is held in January.
